22ft Shelburne Church Skiff, Design #198

This design was conceived as a community rowing project for the town of Shelburne, Nova Scotia.  The concept is of a boat that will encourage team rowing for both fun and physical exercise.  The crew consists of four rowers with a coxswain to steer and set the pace. The model is the simple dory form made popular in this part of the world.  Construction makes use of low grade plywood and local pine..  Carefully assembled as outlined in the plans this will give a good working life while keeping costs to a minimum.
